PostSubject: What Program(s) Do You Use?   Thu Oct 18, 2012 1:07 am

Basically my question for you all is, what kind of program(s) do you use on a regular basis to create any kind of graphic design/art?

=================================================================
I'll go first.

The Photoshop programs I use is cs5 and cs6. I still use cs5 because I have Topaz Clean plug-in, but I use cs6 mainly for signature making and touch ups on some C4D's I make.

Second program I used is MAXON's Cinema 4D R13. I use this to create avatars, C4D's, effects, and bubbles ^^. I'm fairly new to this program but I'm loving it Very Happy

Lastly, I have the default Paint program that came on my laptop. It's pretty fun . . . not really haha.

=================================================================
So, now it's your turn =P

Wel I only have Photoshop, CS2, yeah, Tis old indeed... but its still the best version imo... it just works best for me... have tried both CS5 and CS6, different versions of those even, have not liked either....

CS6 has a colour difficiency issue.... meaning, colours turn out darker then they are while working on it... wel that is what I noticed at least when working on the version I had....

CS5, idk anymore why I didnt like it, think might have been the same issue actualy... but all I can say is, I was used to CS2 from wel idk... 2007/2008 on.... (not sure when I got it... but I have used it since I have it....)

Although had to reinstall it on my 'new' PC cause my old one broke down, after using it for a few years.... (old PC is old though... so that thing was gonne crash at some point anyways, just wished I didnt lose all my old PSD files, cause my External HDD died around the same time... :S yeah, I know, how unlucky can a guy be...)

I havent realy used anything other then PS, yeah, paint for a bit... I tried some others, and wel they just werent much my thing... or my computer cant handle it.... or couldnt, not sure if this one can..... not realy a top notch PC.... ^^

@ClyDeft

I've also noticed some issues with Cs6, with a blurring problem, meaning when I try to blur something at 80%+ opacity it'll shut down :S. So I normally use a gaussian blur and erase parts I don't want blurred Razz

It's annoying at times, but I just like the layout of Cs6.

Oh right, so I guess I am not the only person that saw issues in CS6 then, was thinking I was the only one maybe, cause not heard anything from others before about any issues....

So was thinking, maybe I was wrong... but guess I wasnt.... in the end its all about preferrance I think.. and what you are used to.... ^^

Yea, I know of a few others who have the same problem with Cs6 :S

I'm hoping there will be a patch or something for it in the future because I cannot find any fixes on the web.

I use Photoshop CS3 Extended the most.
I play around in Cinema4D, Xara, Illustrator, and Corel.
But that's about it really.

CS5 Extended for most of my graphic related stuff. Trying to used to Illustrator for the vector part.

I switch to Manga Studio to PS when doing digital art.

Mainly PS CS5 here, though I've yet to find any big issues with it, heh. I did previously use GIMP (before I actually got Photoshop) but it lacked the deep-seated control you have with Photoshop.

I still have yet to get a vector program other than Inkscape (which I rarely use at all) just in case I start with Vectors. (This I may have to, now that I realize I'll be making more and more circuit diagrams for my electronics courses, which would be so much easier to work with on a vector level!)

This topic hasn't had a reply in a while, but I'll say that I've used different versions of PS: PS7, PSCS2, PSCS4, and PSCS5.

Anyways, I'll close this since it's so old
