A new banner?

I think we should get a new banner, what are your decisions? This isn't a suggestion, just a place to let out your words on this topic.

Should we get a new one? Why or why not?

I vote yes because it's getting a bit old.

I think it'd be great if we got a new banner, maybe we could make a contest out of it?

I would agree that GFXz is in need for a new banner.

I vote no.

It hasn't been up all that long, and we should have a consistent look for the forum; kind of like a logo of sorts.

i know i've only been here a couple of days and posted 5 times...maybe 6.
so please i hope my comment does not fall sour on anyone here, only from previous forum management and experience i would say the banner needs to be either reworked, or a new one in it's place.

It could be me living in 2009 still on forums, but i like fluid simple designs, not when the c4d's look cut off and when the navigation bar is in the banner. I am just a fussy bugger tho.

A competition would be interesting, however a group collaboration would be more suitable.

A- a worm, thinking of loading times probably not the best idea, but the banner could be recoded internally to scroll a GFX worm which can be continually added to.

B - rotate dat banner cuz dat shit cray. bringing out all the gangster slang now.

C - scrap the banner just add text in it's place, cause that always attracts attention. (this is for jokes)

What do you mean the nav bar is in the banner? 0.o The Forum, Search, Members, etc. buttons don't show up in the banner for me, and I've viewed this site in 2 different browsers, FF and Chrome. Unless you mean something else?

Thats what im saying would be cool in the banner.


I've lived around *ahem* warez forums most of my E-life ever since the computer gave birth to me.
The one place i was on always had everything at hand in its banner, ok maybe im not living in '09 maybe im just being lazy

Oh I see. Well that's a nice banner, but GFXZone shouldn't do something because "everyone else is doing it." You know?

i also think it hasn,t been that long since the last banner contest to put that one up..... (even tho i don't like the cut off on the c4d's.)

I agree with Uproar that a more simple design would be better.

I would say to change it. When I first came I looked at the banner and it looked amateurish. Simply text banners always look best to me
